Destroy the Icon: Iterations — Part 2

 


I've been trying to make the original image less and less recognizable through my iterations. This was my first. I've mainly been playing around with blending modes.

In this next iteration I incorporated a pattern. I cropped out part of another image and made a pattern out of two of Freddie Mercury's most recognizable features—his mouth and mustache.


In this third iteration I decided to take the main figure and duplicate it a couple of times while resizing. I think this makes it a bit more interesting. I'm not sure where I'll go from here.

  1. I love the sequence, it's so on par with the image while simultaneously making the image unrecognizable. I am really looking forward to your finished product.
